The team started the season with Matt Acott and Marc Eggleton taking on coaching responsibility following the departure of Shane Johnstone.

The squad was also reduced by a few players moving on to pursue their competitive basketball at a higher level, which was fantastic for them.

The team also changed to a new venue, Castle Sports Centre in Taunton.

Season 2009 / 2010

There were many changes for the team in the off season, and during pre-season training a few very important players from the first five announced they were moving on, which was both extremely positive for them and also left an opportunity for some other players to step up.

After pre-season training, and a slightly different game plan from new Coaches Matt Acott and Marc Eggleton, the team knew that this year was not going to be easy, but they had some great talent and team spirit in the club this season. The team continued to recruit a few new faces and boost the roster with some youth, and some more experienced players from other teams. All in all hopes were fairly high for the team.

Players on the team at the start of the season included the regular core of previous seasons Marc Eggleton, Matt Acott, Ben Thompson, John Lockyer, Stephen Evans, and Murray Heath. They also welcomed back Paul Crawford from his fist season last year and previous Revolution players Robe Rowe and Brett Cooper.

New additions at the beginning of the year include Justin Burke, Gari Le Piquet and Alistair Hinchliffe adding some great depth and youth to the team. Tad Gray joined for a short period of time bringing with him national league experience, and was able to contribute until he went off to Australia at the end of November.

For more information on the team see the Player Profile page. You can check out some of their history and their  aka's / nicknames.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS / NEWCOMERS PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

During the course of the regular season training which is usually between September and March, the team will still be open to casual members on each training session, however at times the team will require the use of the whole court. For this reason, for the second half of the session (9.30pm - 10.30pm) Coach may request that all other players leave the court and observe parts of the session, or take part as and when required.
