Season 2004 / 2005

The Revolution started their Division One campaign against rivals Torbay, conceding the first game of the season by just two points at home. As the season progressed they were winning most of the games, but did concede to an improving Broadclyst 1 team and at the end of the season they finished in the top three.

Once again the Revolution raised their game in Cup Competition, beating the University in the Semi Final and again toppling the mighty Torbay in a gruelling finals game. An MVP (Most Valuable Player) performance from their captain Marc Eggleton secured a late comeback in the 80-66 victory. In the Somerset League the Revolution won every game up until the last game of the Play Off Final, where they fell to a talented Taunton Slapheads team despite beating them twice in the regular season.

For the Bombers, it was business as usual in Division Two, winning every game until after Christmas where they fell to the hands of Torbay in the cup. As for the rest of the season, the Bombers lost a close one to Okehampton and conceded by one point to North Devon 54-55 in a game down to the final seconds, but apart from these two games they won every other regular season match and took the Division Two title again. They were also runners up in the plate losing to Division One team QECC by only 10. John Grounds was voted Most Valuable Player and Brett Cooper the Most Improved Player.
