Additions to the squad for the 2001 / 2002 season  were Andy Herbert, Robin Boult, Tim Millet, Simon Kearney and John Grounds giving the club twenty players.

This meant that we could have 2 teams for the season, so that's what we decided to do. Both teams played well; see bellow for more details.

Season 2001 / 2002

Following promotion to Division one, the Revolution started with an initial win over Broadmeadow. The first game was a great start to the season with a score of 89-54. The teams next three games against Exeter University, Broadclyst 1 and QECC set the tone for ongoing rivalries. The Revolution would unfortunately lose these three games - two of them by six points or less.

The season continued with some really exciting games with the University and Torbay teams, with marginal victories both ways. The Revolution excelled in cup competition where they defeated Torbay in the Semi Finals, and went on to win against an experienced Broadclyst team in the final game. The final went down in history as the highest scoring in league history 116-100. The Revolution Most Valuable Player was James Coates.

This season was also the beginning of the Revolutions'  second team, the BCA Bombers. The Bombers were named following some sponsorship for the new kit from BCA (The British Coaches Association). The Bombers was a team formed from any Revolution players that were not in the starting five to give them more experience in games and assist their development.

At the beginning the team struggled, losing the first three games. As the season progressed they began to gel and picked up their performance winning both of the last two games of the year, one of which was over the eventual Division Two champions Exeter Nomads. The Most Valuable Player for the Bombers was Jon Howlett.
