Revolution Celebrate 10 years
This August, the members of Revolution Basketball Club are celebrating their 10th anniversary with many exciting developments.
Established in the autumn of 1999, Revolution are entering their 10th season in the Exeter and District League. In previous years Revolution have entered teams into the first & second divisions and enjoyed success in league and Cup competitions. One year they became the only club in league history to have a squad in each Division 1 & 2 and win them both!
2009-10 pre-season training has started at their new venue, Castle Sports Centre
in Taunton. Says Graham Furze, Centre manager -
“It’s really encouraging to see such a well established Basketball Club using Castle Sports Centre’s facilities. Basketball is a really popular sport in Taunton particularly amongst teens and juniors and having the revolution basketball club here can only further increase the sports popularity and participation.”
Anybody interested in taking part in this exciting and challenging sport are invited to come down to
a session and observe or take part.
Sessions are 8:30 – 10:30pm every Monday night.
There will be pick-up games and activities to introduce new and old players to the club, and prizes will be handed out to the winners and best contributors.
This winter, with support from England Basketball and their sponsors Revolution will be starting their NEW Junior Basketball Development Programme
